The economy of Kazakhstan ranked No. 50 among most competitive countries of the world can have a positive effect on the whole Customs Union. This opinion is shared by Russian and Belarusian experts. According to the Global Competitiveness Report, among our country’s strengths are flexible and efficient labour markets and macroeconomic stability.

- Although Kazakhstan has improved by just one position, it’s a success, and it’s also joy for us, other countries of the Customs Union and at the same time a motivation. It motivates other countries to work harder for the people’s economic well-being.
Ivan BAMBIZA, DEPUTY STATE SECRETARY OF THE UNION STATE:
- The Republic of Kazakhstan, being the driving force for this integration, is the platform and foundation which will give us an opportunity to approach the world level, to improve our positions. I think that our ranking among other countries in terms of economic development will significantly increase in the years to come.
